With over 15 years of experience in commercial real estate, primarily in dispositions with additional experience in project management, asset management, financing, leasing and acquisitions, Brian focuses on portfolio valuation and acquisitions nationwide.

Most of Brian’s institutional real estate career was at Eastdil, where he was Managing Director/Partner with $2.6 billion in closed transactions. While at Eastdil, Brian performed all disciplines (sourcing, underwriting, financial analysis, marketing and closing) for transactions involving all major product types, in single assets and portfolios located nationwide for institutional and high net worth clients. Additionally, for two years he served as asset manager for office and retail projects. During the latter part of his tenure, Brian was responsible for developing the firm’s multi-family practice, and was involved in the sale of more than 10,000 units. Brian was also Senior Vice President at Bond Companies. In this role, he led the development for a proposed $150 million mixed-use project involving land acquisition; financial analysis; managing design, engineering, governmental approval, contract negotiation, bidding, environmental remediation, and construction processes; maintaining JV partner relationships; community outreach; leasing; and financing. Brian also led the firm’s New Markets Tax Credit initiatives (U.S. Treasury-sponsored financing program for projects in underserved communities) including closing two financing transactions, sourced tenants and negotiated leases at above pro forma rents for a newly-built retail center in Hollywood constrained by 1:1000 parking, and sourced and reviewed prospective development acquisitions in the West/Southwest regions. Brian specializes in complex financial analysis, and has created custom financial models to analyze transaction-specific sales, financing, and development structures for institutional quality projects and portfolios ranging from $10 million to $1 billion. Based on this, in 2007 Brian founded KLD Capital Management, a Registered Investment Advisor firm that deploys quantitative absolute return U.S. equities strategies based on a proprietary database and analytical engine.

Brian holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of Southern California and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from The Anderson School at UCLA. He holds a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Series 65 license (Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination).
